A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST

Hi, I’m Peggy.
I paint from here.

Painting became a new language for me. A way to express the things I couldn’t quite put into words.

In my Franklin, Tennessee studio, faith and music are part of the process. I work with acrylics, big brushes, and layers of texture, following the light and leaving room for the unexpected.

My hope is that you’ll find a little of yourself in the work, and a little hope to take home.

THE LONG WAY TO A BLANK CANVAS

A creative life.
A new language.

Before painting, my creative life took many forms: singing, speaking, writing, and design. My husband, Tom, and I met through music, and together we own Westpark Creative Group, a recording studio and production company.

One art class opened up a whole new world. I started with a palette knife, then found my freedom with big brushes and a looser, more impressionistic approach.

Today, my work moves between landscapes, figures, abstracts, and florals. Neutral colors, unexpected streaks of color, and the contrast of light and dark all come together around the same hope: that a painting might say something meaningful.

My studio is in Franklin, Tennessee, and I welcome visits by appointment. I’d love to share the work with you in person.
